Introduction
We have available for New Zealand business a printed thermal transfer label supply service. This service is aimed mostly at the nursery, garden centre, landscape supply industry, but may be applicable to a wider market.

Thermal transfer label printers are expensive, and on top of that there is also the materials cost. To justify the expense a business needs to produce at least 50,000 labels per year, otherwise it makes more sense to get a business like ours to print your labels.

The quality of our labels is the best available anywhere. Labels are available in several formats. Logos and a web site address can be used on some formats.

Terms of Supply
This service is a re-establishment of a service we provided in the past but was discontinued several months ago for 2 main reasons:

  • Payment for labels supplied was often very slow, often dragging out for several months. To prevent this happening again we require payment before supply.

  • Information sent to us to use was often scribbled and incoherent. To prevent this happening again we will likely decline any order that is not clear.

  • The minimum total order is 60 labels which can be mailed like a letter to a customer. The minimum quantity per single plant or product is 1 label. There are no maximums.

Cost
The cost is $0.12 + GST per label. The cost of 12 cents includes all materials, labor and technology, and postage or delivery costs. A discount may apply if labels are collected.

Life Span
Thermal transfer labels are the industry standard for outdoor use, commonly used by nurseries and garden centres everywhere. The labels do not fade and can be expected to last up to 12 months in an outdoor environment. After about a year, tie on labels become brittle. Self adhesive labels are made from Primax and consist of 2 laminated layers. After about 12 months the top layer can start to peel and becomes brittle.
