Plants for Professionals Software - Overview

Plants for Professionals is a major software application designed for professionals that have a business within the garden industry, and are involved with the growing of, selling of, or using nursery plants.

The software is a database application that has 25 modules which includes everything from producing high quality thermal transfer labels, to producing product catalogues with or without color photos. It uses an Access backend database on a local PC, and interacts with a SQL Server database on the Internet. Many of the modules overlap.

As a database application, the software does much more than just the storage of data. The application is about the manipulation of stored data to achieve extraordinary results.

It is referred to as a global intranet, because many of the modules are involved with using the Internet, either for low cost marketing of products, or for potentially networking with others within the industry on a national and global scale.

If has any fault at all, the fault would be the software is too advanced for many that work within the industry. It is not difficult to use, but some have found it's enormous capabilities and benefits intimidating.
