Version 4 of the Plants for Professionals software includes all the features of version 3 as well as the following fixes, minor changes, and major additions.
1. Minor Fix - Data Reports Window. If saving a report to a file format, the user is prompted to select a folder for the file, the report is created and saved to the file format in the selected folder. The user is then asked if they want to view the created file, which opens automatically if the user selects 'Yes'. Problem was the file would not open automatically unless the user had saved the file to the default folder. This has been fixed and the file will now open if requested regardless what folder the file is saved to.
2. Minor Change - Invoices Module When sending an invoice via fax automation, the user is now prompted to select a size for the fax (full A4 size or reduced size) and prompted for a fax message. If no message is entered the default message is used.
3. Minor Change - Remittance Module Same as for 2. above.
4. Minor Change - Supply Orders Module Same as for 2. above.
5. Minor Change - Labels Module When placing a record in edit mode in preparation to prepare label data for printing labels, the focus now moves straight to the Label Quantity text box, instead of the default Plant Name text box. The reason is, when preparing labels for printing, it is always the Quantity field that is the first to be edited and the Plant Name field is rarely if ever edited.
6. Minor Change - Payroll Module Maximim limits can now be specified for accumulated annual leave, sick leave, and special leave.
7. Major Addition - Inventory Module Inventory product reports (wholesale, retail and export) can now be created in HTML format via automation. These reports are 'website ready' and can be uploaded to a web site. Each product report will have a hyperlink created on the Product Name text, and the hyperlink will point to a child report, also a HTML file. The Inventory module can also create Child HTML files ready for deploying to a web site. Each child file relates to 1 inventory record and can contain a photo image of the product, demo photo of the product, as well as descriptive and other data. The purpose of this new feature is Internet marketing, of wholesale, retail, and export products. Customers can view products, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on your web site and place orders via email. Alternatively the parent HTML product reports can be emailed to customers as file attachments, and hyperlinks within the reports will enable customers to access photo images of the products direct from your web site.
8. Website Manager Module The website manager module has been removed from version 4.2.0. The reason is to keep the PFP application file size under control. An improved version of the Website Manager module can be downloaded 100% for free as it's own application, by downloading FTPLite.exe and installing. To access FTPLite follow the hyperlink from the homepage.
