PFPNet, the not-for-profit industry funded organisation focused on raising competency and standards in the subject of Passive Fire Protection (PFP) in the hydrocarbon and industrial sectors, is running a one-day seminar in Houston. The seminar will provide an update on the activities of PFPNet, and for PFPNet to hear from those involved with PFP what guidance, standards, specifications and training they need.
The seminar has sessions on:
- An update on current PFPNet guidance documents and training courses
- A technical session on Cryogenic Spill Protection and Blast Resistance of PFP
- A summary of the session from the 2019 conference on integrity management of existing PFP systems
- Workshops to hear what locally-based practitioners and professionals need in relation to PFP
PFPNet is partnering with the Process Industry Practices organization (PIP) to jointly develop guidance and specifications for PFP. PIP is a member consortium of process industry owners and engineering construction contractors. The workshops will give attendees the opportunity to voice opinions on what is needed to aid the industry on all matters associated with hydrocarbon/industrial PFP. It will help PFPNet and PIP shape work plans for 2020 and beyond. The workshops will be run for groups of Owners, Engineers, Contractors and Manufacturers.
