PFPNet Conference 2023

We are pleased to confirm that the PFPNet conference will be held on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th October 2023 in Barcelona.  The venue will be the World Trade Center, which is located on the waterfront in Barcelona, next to the historic and commercial centre of the city and 15 minutes’ drive from the main airport.

The agenda is now finalised:  Day 1 (24th October) will be devoted to the presentation of a wide range of PFPNet projects which are currently ongoing.  On Day 2 (25th October) there will be further PFPNet projects to discuss but we have opened part of the day to presentations from Members, and so far have received offers covering 3-sided protection, durability of PFP products, latest standards developments, and the experiences of a major EPC design contractor in specifying PFP. On Thursday 26th October there will also be an opportunity to visit the Applus test facility. A coach will depart from the conference venue at 09.30 and return to conference venue by 14.00. Lunch will be provided.

Attendance

Attendance at the conference is free for PFPNet Members.  The event will be open to non-members of PFPNet, who will be charged a fee to attend (£500 for one day or £800 for both days).

    PFPNet is an independent, subscription-funded body, dedicated to raising standards in the use of PFP in industries where hydrocarbons are present. PFPNet will achieve this aim by setting a future technical agenda, and educating based on what has been learned from the past.

    PFPNet is a not-for-profit industry-funded body focused on serving the needs of the users of hydrocarbon fireproofing materials and systems, through a focus on education, training, capturing and retaining existing knowledge, researching key topics, clarifying points of confusion and disseminating this to the membership, and to the industry at large – all with the aim of improving quality.
